  • The Honeymoon for remote work is over. DHH can be insufferably smug, and he doesn't avoid it in this post. But he's fairly correct. We need to figure out how to get back to work, properly. Whether that's a 4-day week, or whatever, is fine. But the overly flexible WFH part-time member of the company thing just won't sustain the kind of success people want from their careers for long. You can't disengage from the company culture, colleagues and the "space" work provides to make you feel good about your work in lieu of walking the dog or playing PlayStation at lunch, while also being hyper successful career-wise. We need to find a fair balance.
  • Aran chair. We've been missing textiles inspired by west coast of Ireland farming jumpers, right?
  • Apollo will shut down, Reddit lies, developer has receipts. Fuck Reddit.
  • Why is everyone watching TV with subtitles?. Great article but the tldr is that audio quality is shocking.
  • Food photographer of the year awards

  • Zuck on Vision Pro
  • Why do Japanese websites look so different?. Actually I have experience in this realm. A huge part of it is searching in localised text/language/font is quite difficult, so a lot of sites put as many links on the home page, menu or footer as they can. The cultural part is why text basically overlays everything.
